Phlomis maroccana
Pink Jerusalem Sage
This rare perennial species, native to Algeria and Morocco, carries whorls of pale pink, purple lipped, talon-like flowers on stiff 100cm tall stems during spring and early summer. The large, heart shaped, evergreen basal leaves make a dense weed proof ground cover some 90cm across. Happy in any sunny well drained spot in the garden Phlomis maroccana is drought hardy when once established.
