Heuchera maxima
Coral Bells
This is the toughest and most drought tolerant of all the heucheras and to my mind the most handsome. It makes large clumps of large leaves which are ornamental the year round. During spring and early summer 70cm tall stems carry hundreds of large, for the genus, bells, greenish in bud opening to creamy white. The flowers flush with light pink as they age. Happiest in light shade even quite dry when once established. The foliage clumps grow 40cm tall by 60cm across.
