Helichrysum splendidum

Helichrysum splendidum is a fast growing, frost hardy evergreen shrub eventually making a silver mound a metre tall by as much across. Its stems are covered in a thick felt of woolly white hairs as are the young leaves. From early to midsummer the shrub produces densely packed heads of golden everlasting flowers. Like most silver foliage shrubs H. splendidum is best grown in full sun. It is drought hardy when once established.
