Gunnera tinctoria
Giant Chilean Rhubarb
Whilst not related to true rhubarb Gunnera tinctoria is eaten in its native Chile. Mostly grown outside of its homeland as an ornamental it will if happy form a magnificent foliage plant with leaves as large as a golf umbrella on 1.5-2.5 metre tall stems. G. tinctoria needs a wet spot and some shade to grow to its full glory.
