Epimedium grandiflorum ‘Silver Queen’

‘Silver Queen’ has large white flowers with silver-lavender highlights on the inner petals. The new crimson-mahogany foliage of this cultivar is particularly impressive and makes a perfect foil for the flowers. ‘Silver Queen’ will grow 30cm tall by 50cm across. The divided evergreen foliage is handsome for most of the year but is best cut to the ground during mid-winter as the flowers and new foliage make a particularly lovely combination. Epimediums are woodland plants and most need a moisture retentive soil in a light to medium shaded spot.
