Deutzia scabra ‘Candidissima’
Native to Japan and China, Deutzia scabra makes a 2-metre-tall shrub clothed in handsome foliage. ‘Candidissima’ is an extraordinarily beautiful form which has been grown in western gardens since the 1860s, carriying large clusters of honey scented double white flowers on erect branches during late spring and early summer. Happy in any sunny or lightly shaded spot which can be given occasional watering during dry times. Height 200cm by 150cm across.
