Clematis x jackmanii ‘Vancouver Starry Nights’
“Large, flat or flattish bright purple flowers with a lustrous bar flushed red, especially towards the base, tepals becoming paler with age. Filaments mainly white, red-purple towards top, with violet=purple connectives; anthers white’. A compact grower with 2-2.5metres vines making it suitable for both pot culture and growing on a fence, an arbour or trellis or clambering through trees and climbing roses. This clematis prefers to be given a light trim during winter and not cut down too hard.
