Brunnera macrophylla

It is much more telling when in flower than more modern selections as the dark green, heart shaped leaves make a perfect foil for the deep, true blue forget-me-not flowers which are carried on 50-80cm tall. branching stems. Unlike true forget-me-nots, Brunnera macrophylla is never weedy. Best grown in light shade, it is quite tolerant of dry conditions once established. Foliage mounds 40cm tall by 50cm across.
