A sad name for one of the most beautiful plants you will ever grow. Formerly classed as a species of Eupatorium, this evergreen shrub produces fragrant, springtime clouds of lilac-purple pom-poms. It has large, textured, deep green foliage. Prefers a partly shady spot, sheltered from strong winds, in soil which can be kept watered during dry periods. It will grow 2 metres tall by 1.5 metres wide.
Note that this plant is not drought- or frost-hardy.
