My good friend, the late Dennis Norgate, was growing this plant when I first met him nearly sixty years ago. A. clypeolata is worth growing for its foliage effect alone as its evergreen mat of intense silver-grey, feathered leaves makes it one of the most telling of any of the silvers. During spring and summer, flat plates of acid yellow flowers are carried on upright silver stems. This plant is happy in any sunny spot and can take dry garden conditions. 60cm x 60cm.
