Molucella laevis (Irish Bells) Selected Strain
A much improved strain of this popular cut flower with excellent germination rates. Long stems covered with apple-green, bell shaped flowers some 4cm across. Great for fresh and dried flower work. Plant seed 1/2cm deep in the garden during late winter (in mild districts) and early to mid-spring elsewhere. H 60-80cm x W 25-35cm.
When to sow: Late winter to mid spring
Where to sow: In permanent position in the garden
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants: 25-30cm
Directions: Plant seed 1/2 cm deep in the garden during late winter (in mild districts) and early to mid-spring elsewhere. Height 60-80cm x Width 25-35cm.
