Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Fasan’
‘Fasan’ is the German word for Pheasant. It is one of the rightly-famous Teller lace cap selections of Hydrangea which were bred in Switzerland. ‘Fasan’ makes a small growing shrub with typical glossy Hydrangea leaves. During summer and autumn, it produces prolific quantities of lace cap flowers which are pink to red in near neutral to alkaline pH soils and blue in acid soils. Like all of its kin, ‘Fasan’ grows best in moist well drained soil. In cooler districts it will flourish in full sun but in hotter areas it will need some light shade. 100cm tall by 100cm wide.
