A new Salvia which is probably a hybrid of S. ‘buchananii’. A leafy shrubby plant to about 60cm tall by 60cm wide with red tinted brown flower stems standing well above the foliage. Large magenta flowers with showy crimson calyces are produced in well-spaced whorls for months in summer and autumn. Needs a good soak once a fortnight. Sun or light shade. 90cm x 60cm
