Salvia darcyi
S. darcyi was introduced into cultivation from Mexico as recently as 1990. Growing to 100cm or more tall by 70cm wide, it produces long spires of large scarlet flowers from early summer until late autumn. It is herbaceous and so winter and early spring flowering bulbs do well when planted beneath it.
