The ornamental origanums are not used enough in gardens and shouldn’t be confused with the culinary forms. Originally from Greece and Turkey, they are drought tolerant and take both our hot summer sun and our very cold winters. Origanum ‘Rosenkuppel’ makes evergreen mats of dark green leaves which turn burgundy during cold weather. Wiry 60cm tall stems carry purple-pink flower heads during summer and autumn. 60cm x 60cm.
