Epimedium grandiflorum ‘Lilifee’
The large flowered Epimedium grandiflorum was introduced into the Netherlands from Japan by von Siebold as early as 1830. It did so well that it was soon established in gardens throughout northern Europe. ‘Lilafee’ is one of the most beautiful of all varieties with large lilac-purple flowers held well above the leaves during early spring. Handsome new foliage, heart shaped and maroon-brown to start with, changing to dark green as the season progresses. Best grown in a shaded spot, even quite dense shade, and given a modicum of extra water during dry periods. Height 30cm width 50cm eventually. 75mm pot.
