This series has been bred for commercial cut flower production but is happy in the home garden. Flowers can be likened to crested cock’s comb or less poetically to a velvet sheep’s brain. Flowers are produced on 90cm tall stems.
When to sow: Early spring under cover or late spring in situ
Where to sow: In seed trays, pots or direct sow
Depth to sow: 3 to 5mmAspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil.
Spacing: Between plants: 30cm to 50cm
Directions: Sow seed under cover early spring and plant out in a permanent spot 6 to 8 weeks later or direct sow when frost danger is over.
