Salanova® lettuce have the flavour and texture of full grown lettuce but in the home garden individual leaves are harvested as needed. Salanova® lettuce are slow to bolt and can be harvested over a long period. Sow seed from August until May for year round salads.

Where to sow: Seed trays or direct.
Depth to sow: 5mm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants 20cm; Between rows 30cm
Directions: Salanova® lettuce are a terrific innovation in lettuce breeding. Salanova® varieties grow like a head lettuce but have a lot more leaves which are evenly proportioned and baby sized. The seed is pelleted and primed for ease of planting and quick germination. Plant one seed 1/2cm deep every 20cm. Or plant 1 seed to a 5cm pot or 2cm apart in seed trays and plant out when big enough.
