When to sow: Early September indoors or mid November to mid-December in situ
Where to sow: In a 7.5cm pot or direct
Depth to sow: 1/2 cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants 40cm; Between rows 120cm or on trellis.
Directions: Plant one seed to a 7.5cm pot on a hot bed during early September and plant out in November. Plant a later crop in situ in mid-November to mid-December. Plant 40cm apart in a 120cm wide bed or grow on a trellis.
