‘Taboo’ is a lighter green-stemmed, non-flowering, upright choy sum. The generous leaves are an attractive glossy dark green and rounded. ‘Taboo’ is very uniform in growth making it attractive to commercial growers while also tolerating cold conditions very well.
When to sow: August until April
Where to sow: Direct sow into prepared garden bed
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Direct sow 15 seed per 30cm in rows 40cm apart
Directions: Harvest before flowers open. New shoots will quickly develop.
