Verbascum phoeniceum ‘Flush of White’
This tough perennial produces densely packed spikes of pure white flowers, on strongly vertical 90cm tall stems, for many months from late spring until autumn. Happiest in a sunny well drained spot, ‘Flush of White’ is drought tolerant when once established. Height 90cm width 50-60cm. In the wild Verbascum phoeniceum ranges from north Africa and southern Europe to western China via Central Asia. The flowers of V. phoeniceum are known to attract bees, butterflies and moths. Removing spent flower stems will extend the flowering period. A great cut flower.
