Dahlia ‘Black Forest Ruby’
‘Black Forest Ruby’ is a striking dwarf dahlia, with rich ruby-red flowers set against deeply divided, almost black foliage. The blooms vary from semi-double to double, giving the plant a pleasing mix of forms and a long season of interest. Growing around 50–70 cm tall, it has a naturally sturdy, well-branched habit and makes a dramatic addition to sunny borders or pots, where the dark foliage provides a lovely contrast to surrounding plants. Flowering from midsummer into autumn, it is a reliable performer that keeps its shape well through the season. Grow in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil and remove spent flowers regularly to encourage more blooms.
