Helleborus x glandorfensis is a complex hybrid containing the genes of at least four species, H. arguifolius, lividus, niger and orientalis. ‘Ice ‘n’ Roses Early Red’, which flowers very early in the season from mid-winter until spring, is a compact, medium sized plant carrying masses of rich deep velvety red, outward facing flowers. In flower it will eventually grow to 50cm tall and as much wide.
