Viola odorata ‘Lady Hume Campbell’
Lady Hume Campbell’s Parma Violet
Parma Violets have been cultivated in Europe for more than two hundred years. Empress Josephine grew at least one variety in her garden at Malmaison. ‘Lady Hume Campbell’ with its beautiful double lavender-mauve, intensely fragrant flowers was introduced into England from Milan in 1875. It flowers from late autumn until spring and is happy in any lightly shaded, or well watered sunny spot in the garden. 10cm by 30cm.
