Phlomis italica
Balearic Island Sage
This, the true species, has rarely been offered in Australia. An import from the Phlomis king, Olivier Filippi, this evergreen shrub has very woolly, grey, arrow shaped leaves densely packed onto white woolly stems. Whorls of clear pink flowers are displayed above the foliage during spring. 90cm tall by 80cm wide and exceptionally drought tolerant once established.
