A white kohlrabi variety which makes a compact and upright plant good at withstanding torrid growing conditions. Suits both autumn and winter harvest cycles. Good cracking resistance. This is professional class seed made available to home gardeners for the first time.
When to sow: August, September and October and from February to April.
Where to sow: Sow in a drill in a prepared garden bed or in trays or pots.
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: 5-6cm apart in rows 40cm apart
Directions: Kohlrabi doesn’t enjoy the torrid heat of mid-summer so is best planted to avoid these times.
