Jasminum parkeri
Rock Jasmine
This beautiful dwarf, dense growing shrub is native to a very localised area of the Chamba District in north India where it grows in dry rocky areas at about 800 metres. In cultivation it is both drought tolerant and frost hardy. We grow it in a part of the garden which is only irrigated two or three times a year. During spring fragrant lemon-yellow flowers cover the dark green foliage. In ten years it has made 60ccm tall by 70cm across.
