Hypericum x hybrid ‘Rowallane’
This Hypericum cultivar is a chance seedling that was found in the 1940s in Rowallane Garden, now the headquarters of the National Trust in Northern Ireland. Growing up to 180cm tall by 150cm across it is perhaps the finest plant in the genus producing large, warm yellow, bowl shaped flowers from late spring until well into autumn. Happy in sun or light shade ‘Rowallane’ needs a little extra summer irrigation.
