Marigold ‘Giant Orange’
We planted this strain in the double flower borders in the vegetable garden last year. It produced large, 8cm diameter, fully double flowers from January until mid-April. A tall grower suitable for cut flowers as well as the garden. Dead head occasionally to prolong the display. Height 80cm width 70cm.
When to sow: early to late spring
Where to sow: In seed trays under cover or in permanent spot in the garden when the danger of frost is over
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants: 50-60cm
Directions: A tall grower suitable for cut flowers as well as the garden. Dead head occasionally to prolong the display. Height 80cm width 60cm.
