Tulipa clusiana ‘Tubergiana’
This is a large flowered yellow form of Tulipa clusiana and is close to T. clusiana var. chrysantha. For the past twenty years I’ve grown this in the dry garden where it has increased well in a spot that is sunny during winter but covered by ornamental Origanums during summer. The flowers are rich yellow with a pink reverse. It has a 30cm tall flower stem and can be planted as closely as 10 cm or as far apart as 20cm.
