Thymus hirsutus

This is a new import from Olivier Filippi’s nursery in the south of France. In one year it makes a dense mat, about 70cm across, of small glossy green leaves, and in mid-October produces clear pink flowers which are held just above the foliage. It is a fine new groundcover for a sunny well drained spot. Drought tolerant when once established. 8cm by 90cm.
