Climbing Black Eyed Susan

This beautiful climber, happy in sun or light shade, is an annual in cold climates but can be perennial in warmer areas. It will grow 1.5-2 metres in a season. Plant seed inside during spring into the garden during late spring and early summer. It will flower for months during the warmer months.

 

When to sow: Early to mid-spring spring
Where to sow: Sow undercover and plant out when established
Depth to sow: 3-4mm deep
Aspect:  Light shade or protected sunny spot.
Soil:  Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil.
Spacing: Between plants: 100cm
   
Directions: Plant established plants when weather warms up.
