Radish, Daikon 'Alpine F1'
This half-long 12-15cm roots is the most commonly grown variety in Korea. It’s a good choice for gardens with thinner soils. Excellent flavour and can be used fresh in salads, in pickles and in miso soup. Sow seed in rows 5cm apart, thin to 10-15cm.
When to sow: Spring, summer and autumn
Where to sow: Direct sow in 5cm apart
Depth to sow: 1cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants: Thin to 10-15cm; Between rows: 30cm
Directions: Plant small quantities regularly so as to harvest during summer, autumn and winter.
