Pea, Snow ‘HS630'
Making a very tall high-yielding plant (up to 1.5m tall) for a trellis, HS630 produces dark green smaller snow peas that don’t curl. The pods are approx 9cm long. This newly developed variety also has improved resistance to rust spots appearing on the pods. Not for Tasmania.
When to sow: June to September up to early November
Where to sow: Sow seed 3 to 4cm apart in 10cm wide drills
Depth to sow: 2cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants: 4cm Between rows: 40cm
Directions: Peas are a cool season crop to be planted from June to September. The later plantings should be of powdery mildew resistant varieties such as this one. Plant seeds 2cm deep in a 10cm wide band.
