Night Scented Tobacco (Nicotiana sylvestris)
This annual fills empty spots in the garden 200cm tall stems clothed in large handsome leaves carry, from mid-summer onwards, large clusters of pure white narrowly tubular flowers, flared at the end. Sprinkle seeds anywhere in the garden where there is bare soil and stand back.
When to sow: October-November
Where to sow: Direct in a prepared garden bed .
Depth to sow: 1mm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Any soil will do
Spacing: Between plants: 40-50cm
Directions: Sprinkle seeds anywhere in the garden where there is bare soil and stand back.
