Marigold ‘Man on the Moon'
This creamy white variety was bred in America fifty or more years ago and has stood the test of time. Growing 60cm tall by 80cm across it produces its very large flowers for many summer and autumn months. Sow seed in spring.
When to sow: Early to mid spring
Where to sow: In seed trays under cover or in permanent spot in the garden when the danger of frost is over
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil.
Spacing: Between plants: 15 to 20cm
Directions: Raise seedlings under cover and plant out when the danger of frost is over. Marigold ‘Man on the Moon’ will flower from early summer well in to autumn. Dead head occasionally.
