Marigold, Dwarf ‘Queen Sophia’
Small growing marigolds for both pot culture and a frontal position in the garden. They will flower from late spring (in mild districts) through summer and well in to autumn.
Queen Sophia is an All America Selection winner. Dark, bronze-orange-red petals are laced with gold.
When to sow: Early to mid-spring
Where to sow: In seed trays under cover or in permanent spot in the garden when danger of frost is over
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants: 20cm
Directions: Queen Sophia will flower from early summer well in to autumn. Dead head occasionally to prolong the display.
