‘ALCAZABA’ is a new and very much improved little gem type replacing Aldea, with mid-green, shading to pale yellow green at the base, crinkled leaves. It has an excellent disease resistance with full resistance to Downy Mildew and resistance
to Lettuce Mosaic Virus.

Where to sow: Seed trays or direct
Depth to sow: 5mm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants 20cm; Between rows 30cm
Directions: Salanova® lettuce are a terrific innovation in lettuce breeding. Salanova® varieties grow like a head lettuce but have a lot more leaves which are evenly proportioned and baby sized. The seed is pelleted and primed for ease of planting and quick germination. Plant one seed 1/2cm deep every 20cm. Or plant 1 seed to a 5cm pot or 2cm apart in seed trays and plant out when big enough.
