Lettuce, Green Oakleaf 'Kiambi' (Lactuca sativa)
A slow bolting oakleaf this is an improvement on Kirinia with extra vigour, slow bolting characteristics, good disease resistance and good sweet flavour. Can be sown the year round except in the very coldest mountain districts. Good tolerance of hot and humid conditions.

Where to sow: Seed trays or direct
Depth to sow: 5mm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants 20cm; Between rows 30cm
Directions: The seed is pelleted and primed for ease of planting and quick germination. Plant one seed 1/2cm deep every 20cm. Or plant 1 seed to a 5cm pot or 2cm apart in seed trays and plant out when big enough.
