Kohlrabi 'Kolibri' F1
'Kolibri' is best harvested when 7-10cm in diameter when the flesh is most crisp and nearly fibreless. Sow seed in succession from mid-summer until mid-autumn.
When to sow: August, September and October and from February to April.
Where to sow: Sow in a drill in a prepared garden bed or in trays or pots.
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: 5-6cm apart in rows 40cm apart
Directions: Kohlrabi doesn’t enjoy the torrid heat of mid-summer mid so is best planted to avoid these times.
