Hemerocallis fulva ‘Black Stockings’

Hemerocallis fulva ‘Black Stockings’

Black Day Lily

Day lilies which repeat flower are always useful plants. Dark red purple almost black flowers are produced, from late spring here until quite late in the autumn. I divide and replant dwarf day lilies every 3 or 4 years. Dark red purple blooms with a black edge and eye zone above a yellow throat. Tetraploid, single blooms to 14cm across. Tough sun loving and reputed to be drought tolerant although we have never thoroughly tested them here. 40cm x 40cm.
