Genista aetnensis

This beautiful small tree or large shrub is endemic to the islands of Sicily and Sardinia where it grows on poor stony soils. In our garden it has made a handsome weeping shrub some 2 metres tall by as much across although it will eventually grow taller. The jasmine scented yellow flowers are produced over a long summer period.
