White Forget-me-not

 

Forget-me-nots are an essential part of the Giverney planting schemes. Forget-me-nots can look splendid planted under deciduous trees and in woodland settings. They will self sow when once established sometimes with great exuberance. Height 25cm x 25cm. Forget-Me-Not ‘White’ produces clouds of white flowers.

 

 

When to sow: Late summer or early autumn
Where to sow: Direct sow
Depth to sow: 4-6 mm
Aspect:  Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil:  Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants: 30 to 40cm
   

 

Directions:  Forget-me-nots are biennials so seed needs to be sown during late summer or early autumn for flowering the following spring. Traditionally they are planted with and at the same time as tulips and other spring flowering bulbs as they are in flower during the main spring bulb season.
