Euphorbia x martinii ‘Ascot Rainbow’ PBR
This Lambley introduction is one of the finest variegated Euphorbias available throughout the gardening world. It is now used in bedding throughout Europe and the United States and in New Zealand and South Africa. It all began with an interesting 'sport' observed in our dry garden as one of our vigilant staff passed by one day. Very different in effect from E. ‘Tassie Tiger’, E. ‘Ascot Rainbow’, has soft gold and blue-green leaves with red and pink tonings during cold weather. During spring and early summer gold and green variegated red eyed flowers smother the plant. Happy in sun or light shade, and tolerates dryness. 90cm x 90cm. Awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's highest honour.
Please take care when handling euphorbias as their sap is very caustic. Protective gear such as glasses, gloves and long sleeves should be worn.
