Endive ‘Bianca Riccia’ (Cichorium endivia)
A heat tolerant variety with pale yellow almost blond, cut and fringed leaves and mixes well with ‘Clodia’. It has a sweet, mildly spicy flavour. Plant from late winter until mid-autumn for year round crops.
When to sow: Late winter until mid autumn
Where to sow: In a 10cm wide band
Depth to sow: 5mm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: 10cm wide bands 10 seeds per 5cm; Between rows 30cm
Directions: Cut baby leaves when 8 to 10cm tall.
