Echinops ruthenicus ‘Platinum Blue’

I’ve grown E. ritro ssp. ruthenicus for many years including in the dry garden where the conditions are very suitable. Echinops ruthenicus 'Platinum Blue' has steel blue golf ball sized blooms that sit on top of stiff white stems which are clothed by silver green cut leaves. It flowers from late spring through the summer. Sun loving and drought tolerant. 40cm x 40cm.
