Clematis x jackmanii ‘Silver Moon’
Large satiny, silver-mauve flowers, 15-20cm across are displayed for many months from late spring until the autumn. Can be grown in a pot as well as covering a fence, an arbour or trellis or clambering through trees and climbing roses.
Raised by the famous English gardener and broadcaster Percy Picton before 1971 ‘Silver Moon’ gained the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit in 1993. This clematis prefers to be given a light trim during winter and not cut down too hard.
