Clematis montana ‘Rubens’
Abundant and fragrant rich pink flowers are produced in abundance during mid-to-late spring. These montana Clematis need regular watering during hotter and drier periods as they don’t want to dry out at the root but are otherwise vigorous and low-maintenance. As the clematis needs some structure to climb up we use a wide wire mesh attached to a fence. Any trellis will do just as well or a tall bamboo tepee can be successful but can also be allowed to clamber through fruit trees and roses.
