Clematis integrifolia ‘Rooguchi’
This was bred by the late Kazushige Ozawa to be picked as a single flower for the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. As well as being a terrific cut flower it makes a great garden plant. It doesn’t climb like most other clematis but should be allowed to scramble through shrubs or spill down a wall or bank. The 5cm long plum-purple bells are produced from late spring until mid-autumn. Needs morning or full sun. 200cm tall by 150cm wide.
