Chicory Italian Dandelion 'Clio' F1

Not a true dandelion but a narrow leafed chicory this cut and come again, slow to bolt vegetable is a great addition to mixed leaf salads but is a joy when sautéed in olive oil. Slow to bolt ‘Clio’ can be sown in situ from August until April. 48 days to harvest.

When to sow: August to early May
Where to sow: Sow direct or in individual small pots or plugs
Depth to sow: 3mm
Aspect:  Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil:  Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add   lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: For baby leaf sow in 5-10cm wide bands 30 seeds per 30cm
For full size thin or plant 15cm apart and rows 40cm apart
Directions: Good cut and come again vegetable for all year round harvest
